英国格林尼治时间10月16日（北京时间10月17日），英国QS全球教育集团智库（Quacquarelli Symonds）发布《QS亚洲大学排名2018》（QS Asian University Rankings 2018）400强，我校位居301-350区间。这是我校于2016年首度上榜后，再次登榜，标志着学校综合办学实力和国际学术影响力持续得到认可。本年度排名中国大陆共有103所大学上榜，我校居第81位，其中师范大学有10所上榜，我校居第8位。福建高校另有2所上榜，分别是厦门大学（位居亚洲大学第81位）和福州大学（位居亚洲大学301-350区间）。
该排名按照Academic reputation (30%)、Employer reputation (20%)、Faculty/student ratio (15%)、Citations per paper (10%)、Papers per faculty (10%)、Staff with a PhD (5%)、Proportion of international faculty(2.5%)、Proportion of international students(2.5%)、Proportion of inbound exchange students(2.5%) and Proportion of outbound exchange students(2.5%)等10个指标对大学进行综合评价。
